When we think of our gastrointestinal (GI) system we mostly think of digestion and our stomach. I invite you to consider your GI tract involves everything from your mouth to your anus and includes multiple organs as well as nerves and bio chemical signals between your gut and brain!
Techniques like breath awareness, mindful movement and meditation can help support the free flow of info along the gut brain axis to support positive health for the GI system.
In these practices I invite you to notice how you feel in movement patterns and postures:

  • Side bends and forward folds, included to to stimulate internal organs like the pancreas.
  • Backbends to stretch overly tight soft tissues on the front of the body.
  • Twists to massage intestines and encourage peristalsis
  • Mild Inversions to reverse blood flow and stimulate circulation.

As we explore I invite you to observe your mind and heart and do the best you can to breathe easy and be easy with your exploration.
